A weekend bag only has to do one thing well: hold everything you need for two or three days and stay easy to carry while it does. This one is built as a barrel, so the depth is there through the whole length rather than just in the middle, and it swallows a couple of pairs of shoes, changes of clothes, a toiletry bag, a laptop, a notebook and books without needing packing carefully. There's the room for a camera and a couple of lenses, a water bottle and whatever kit the trip calls for, and the same shape makes it a good gym bag the rest of the week. The twin handles carry it by hand, and the strap clips on to take it over the shoulder or across the body when you've got a bag in the other hand.
A metal zip runs the length of the top and curves down at each end, so the bag opens right along its back and you pack it flat rather than posting things through a hole. Two pulls run on it, meeting wherever you leave them. A second zip runs the width of the front pocket for the things you want on the way rather than at the other end.
The body is heavyweight cotton canvas, lined in cream cotton canvas, with the handles, straps and trim cut from our signature Italian bio-based vegan leather. The handles are held in metal keepers so they sit square against the canvas and the load pulls into the panel.

A second zip runs the width of the front pocket with a tab of its own. The two carry handles are held in metal keepers at the base of each strap, four in all, so the vegan leather straps sit square against the canvas and the load pulls into the panel rather than folding the strap over on itself. There's a D-ring on a vegan leather tab at each end of the bag for the shoulder strap, which clips on and adjusts for length, and comes off completely when you want the handles alone

- Cut and closed by hand, with the panels turned and stitched rather than bonded, so the seams carry the load and the edges are finished on the inside. The body is built as a barrel, a single wrapped panel closed onto a round end at each side, which is what gives it its depth and lets it hold shape when it's loaded rather than folding in on itself. The handles run onto vegan leather straps carried right around the underside of the bag, so a full load pulls against the wrap rather than against the stitching at the top of the panel. Each handle is set in its own metal keeper, and the D-rings for the shoulder strap sit on vegan leather patches at the ends

- Showerproof. The close-woven cotton canvas holds off a shower, but cotton soaks rather than sheds, so it wets through in prolonged rain and the seams aren't sealed

Sturdy, elegant, and very functional. The bag feels well made and holds its shape, with enough space to be practical without feeling bulky. The design is simple and clean, and it works well for short trips or everyday use. Overall, a solid and reliable bag.

I got this bag because I wanted something to take with me for shorter trips. I am super impressed with how roomy it is, I managed to pack for a whole week in this thing. It also looks really nice (I got it in grey). This was the first item I got from Will's and I was so happy with the quality that I ordered a pair of boots right after, which I am also very happy with. I would like to buy more from this company, but right now all the items I want are out of stock in my size.
