Our notes

Made in Italy to the highest standards these have been designed for traction, stability, comfort and durability in the most demanding terrains.

The Vibram rubber injection outsoles have been designed with areas for grip, traction, braking and stability. The outsoles have been ballistic welded onto the uppers, so they will not part easily.

The uppers have been created with abrasion and scuff resistant Lyliane 3DMX and Cordura materials, so you can take these off-road and not worry about what happens on the way. You can wear these for long distances in comfort, walking on the removable cushioned anatomic insoles, your feet and ankles are supported with padding on the tongue and around the collar.

These are lab tested waterproof, with waterproof seams, a sealed tongue and a special breathable waterproof membrane that does not allow water penetration. Put on and take off easily with the finger tab, using the high-grade laces threaded through lace hooks that are long lasting and allow smooth lace sliding.

WVSport models are designed and produced in the foothills of the Dolomite Hills, Italy.

Each model is created using CAD design technology that simulates the different phases of the walking experience.

Advanced components and construction methods are used to create the models like the use of Vibram soles and a patented Support System which means the fit is always comfortable and secure.

Development samples are lab tested for days for their abrasion resistance, durability and water resistance. New models can take months sometimes years to develop.

  • Advanced ballistic welded construction with abrasion and scuff resistant uppers created with Lyliane 3DMX and Cordura materials
  • Vibram rubber injection outsoles for super grippy traction and durability

    Ethics & Sustainability

The factory we use to product WVSport models features one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Italy which means that 70% of the power used to produce WVSport footwear is from solar.

As well as working under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law the factory has their own Charter of Human Responsibilities (or Code of Ethics) which helps ensure the company is committed to respecting the rights, work and dignity of its employees.

For sourcing the materials to create each model we work with the factory using a traceability system that enables us to trace back every step in the production process so we always know what has been used and where it has come from.

Solid and comfortable walking boots. No more wet socks either!

Recommended these by my wife, who has had a pair of the women's boots for several years & they have been excellent from the first wear. Mine took a few wears to stop rubbing, but are now super comfy and my feet feel very secure on uneven ground. No more wet socks either! Highly recommend these boots & the end-of-life recycling option is reassuring too.

My go-to for long nyc days (and hikes too)

Bought 2 years ago, worn daily, still look like new. Most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Wear these constantly around New York City. Museum trips, long days running errands, rainy days keeping my feet dry through block after block of disgusting mystery puddles, day hikes outside the city, work boot duty when moving furniture--these can handle it all. They are so comfy that I bought a backup pair in case Wills ever stops making them. I'm wearing them right now

    Will's Vegan Hiking Boots

The only fault I've found with them is that I think they're taking a while to break in. There is a kind of hard crease formed when walking that puts pressure on the foot just above the toes and this is sometimes uncomfortable to the point that I have to loosen the laces a lot to relieve the pressure. I'm hoping that it won't take too much longer for this to soften or I'll have to take drastic action!

    Otherwise perfect.

    WVSport Waterproof Hiking Boots

I had a problem with first pair of boots because the fabric under the insole was creased and made the boot painful to wear. Will's Vegan Store sent a replacement pair and told me to give the other boots to a charity shop. It would be good if they could tell their supplier in Italy about the problem to improve quality control and save postage costs, but the exchange process was swift and easy. The new pair are are well worn in now and much more comfortable. I am hoping to have many years of good use from them.

    Terrible Quality

I bought the boots in Juli last year(2023). I was really looking forward to get and enjoy these shoes. The whole concept, vegan sustainable and no even to expensive. Sounded like a dream to me. So, the shoes arrived and I took them for my first hikes. After the first couple of tours I realised a couple of tears appearing at the connection of the sole to the "leather". I contacted Wills and got immediately a answer and as promised new ones. I didn't used the new pair until last weeks. Get there later.

I continued using my first pair to see how they perform. Today, after approx. 8 month I can tell they are totally worn out. As some others mention some wrinkles appear, my ones turned into a full cut from one to the other side over the toe area and several other holes from normal bending through walking.

5 days ago, I started to use the second pair, after using them just at work(in a Museum) they turn out to be even worse. They start to peel of their top layer at the bending point and begin to have the exact same wrinkles.

I am really disappointed. It's no where sustainable and I feel betrayed.

Its amazing how good marketing and fake comments can trick you.

Btw. even the production in Italy or Portugal is a lie. On my shoebox was written made in CZ
