Our Notes

The strap arrangement is what makes these. A toe-post sits between the first and second toes and runs back diagonally across the foot, meeting a second strap over the instep — so instead of two parallel bands you get a crossed line running corner to corner, which holds the foot properly and looks considerably less predictable than the standard two-strap slide.

Everything is done in soft vegan suede, straps and footbed alike, in a warm dark brown against the natural sand of the cork. The buckle at the instep is solid metal in an antique brass finish, adjustable through the strap holes so you can set the fit where you want it — and the aged tone is the right call against suede, warmer and less shiny than a bright metal would be.

Underneath is the reason you'll keep wearing them. A deep Portuguese cork footbed layered with soft vegan suede on top, contoured with a proper arch and a heel cup, so the foot is held rather than just carried. Cork does something no foam can: it takes an impression of your foot over the first few wears and keeps it, so the fit gets more personal the longer you have them. Beneath that, a cork midsole with a rubber tread underneath — and the flecks of colour you can see through it are recycled content in the rubber, left visible rather than hidden.

Wear them with everything summer's for: linen trousers or a linen shirt-dress, a long white dress, shorts and an oversized shirt, tonal brown or khaki if you want to run with the colour. They're the sandal you can walk a whole day in and still be comfortable at the end of it.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Upper: Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials)
Lining: Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) – soft and comfortable against the foot, with a breathable suede texture that helps keep feet fresh
Insole: Deep Portuguese cork footbed layered with soft vegan suede (100% PU) on top – moulded to your foot and improving with every wear
Outsole: Portuguese cork midsole with a rubber tread layer underneath — the cork moulds to the shape of your foot over time while staying light, with the rubber giving durable grip where it meets the ground

Construction & Features

Shank: Steel shank for stability and support through the arch
Hardware: A toe-post between the first and second toes runs back into a strap over the instep, adjusted with a single metal buckle (100% zamak). The post is anchored with a metal peg — a domed stud set into the footbed — so it holds firm where the strap meets the sole.
Construction: Mounted (cemented) construction – the upper is lasted to shape and the outsole bonded directly underneath. The most widely used construction method in footwear, it gives a clean, flexible build, though the outsole isn't easily resoled
Water Resistance: Not water-resistant, but made to cope with wet weather and days at the beach without marking or spoiling. See our care guide for how to keep them looking their best.

Care Guide

Clean: For marks and stubborn stains, use warm soapy water with a cloth or soft brush, working gently over the surface. Towel dry afterwards.Brush: Once fully dry, run a suede brush over the uppers to lift the nap back up and restore the soft, even texture. Brushing in one direction gives the most consistent finish.Drying: Always let your footwear dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, as too much heat can stiffen or damage the suede. Stuff with paper or a shoe tree to help hold the shape while drying, and allow a day or two for the insides to dry fully before wearing again.Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, as this creates an environment where microbes can develop and cause smells. If a smell does develop, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until it clears. In extreme cases you can wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and apply the deodoriser again.Waterproofing (optional): If you'd like some added protection, you can treat the suede with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard sprays work fine on vegan suede. This is optional, and bear in mind vegan suede is naturally an open-textured material that isn't designed to be water-resistant.

Fit and comfort notes:

Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
Use this number to find your size in the chart above.

It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
