Our Notes

A tassel loafer, cut low and slipped straight on. Nothing to fasten, nothing to think about.

The line is long and clean — a softly tapered toe, a low vamp, a topline scooped at the sides — and the tassels are the only thing on it. They sit knotted at the throat on a fine cord that traces round the vamp, hanging just proud of the shoe so they move as you walk. Everything else is left plain, which is exactly what makes them work.

Underfoot, a 1cm heel — flat enough to be in all day, just enough to lift the line — over a durable, grippy TR outsole finished with a WVS emboss. A cushioned layered insole, soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU), so they stay comfortable through a long day rather than just a short one. Lined in soft Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU), comfortable against the foot and breathable with it. D width fitting, a slightly wider fit with more volume than standard.

Black is the quiet one and the one you'll wear most. Turned-up dark denim and a white shirt, cropped black trousers and a knit, a coat over the top — the tassels do all the work and the rest of the outfit stays still. Silver is the opposite: it's the shoe people notice. Same dark denim, same white shirt, and suddenly the whole look has something in it. It sits well with grey, navy and white, and it dresses up further than you'd expect for a flat.

Upper: Italian vegan nubuck (100% PU) – one of the finest vegan suedes you can get, Ecolabel certified with a soft, luxurious feel
Lining: Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) – soft and comfortable against the foot, with a breathable suede texture that helps keep feet fresh
Insole: Cushioned layered insole – a soft memory foam top layer over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) cut to fit the shoe
Outsole: Flexible TR outsole with a light tread for grip

Construction & Features

Shank: Steel shank for stability and support through the arch
Construction: Mounted (cemented) construction – the upper is lasted to shape and the outsole bonded directly underneath. The most widely used construction method in footwear, it gives a clean, flexible build, though the outsole isn't easily resoled
Water Resistance: Not water-resistant – vegan suede will soak through in rain, though it won't mark or spoil when wet. Best kept for dry days, and treat with a waterproofing spray if you want some protection.

Care Guide

Clean: For marks and stubborn stains, use warm soapy water with a cloth or soft brush, working gently over the surface. Towel dry afterwards.Brush: Once fully dry, run a suede brush over the uppers to lift the nap back up and restore the soft, even texture. Brushing in one direction gives the most consistent finish.Drying: Always let your footwear dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, as too much heat can stiffen or damage the suede. Stuff with paper or a shoe tree to help hold the shape while drying, and allow a day or two for the insides to dry fully before wearing again.Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, as this creates an environment where microbes can develop and cause smells. If a smell does develop, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until it clears. In extreme cases you can wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and apply the deodoriser again.Waterproofing (optional): If you'd like some added protection, you can treat the suede with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard sprays work fine on vegan suede. This is optional, and bear in mind vegan suede is naturally an open-textured material that isn't designed to be water-resistant.
