Sneaker Boots

The height is the whole idea. These sit just under the ankle bone — enough to hold the foot and give the shoe real presence, light enough that the leg keeps its line. The topline is cut on a slant, dropping at the front and lifting behind, and that one decision does most of the work: it opens the ankle, carries the eye along the length of the foot, and keeps the profile lean and quick from the side. The collar is padded generously, soft and rounded where it meets you, finishing the silhouette as much as it cushions it.

The upper is black Italian vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), cut in clean panels with a plain toe and nothing written on it anywhere — the shoe is left to be a shape. It laces through metal eyelets in zamak, a durable zinc alloy, with extra-strong laces (100% recycled polyester) and metal tips to match.

Underneath, the sole answers the upper. A hard-wearing cupsole, sidewall-stitched in rubber (10% recycled rubber), with a contrasting tan rubber tread in a herringbone pattern for grip and durability. The white sidewall draws a bright line around the base of the black upper, and the gum tread warms the whole thing from below; the stitching runs visible the entire way round, which on a sole this substantial is worth seeing. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the boot, over a layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU).

Good looking sneakers, and that height is what lets them travel. Black denim or dark indigo, cuffed or straight, under a heavy overcoat with a knit. Tapered or cropped trousers when you want tailoring above and rubber below. Chinos and a bomber when you don't.
