Smart Sneakers

A sneaker you can wear with tailoring. Clean lines, no logos, no panels — just leather over a white cupsole.

The upper is cut from as few pieces as possible, which is what makes it read smart rather than sporty: one sweep over the toe, a slim facing carrying five eyelets, a seam down the heel and nothing else. Metal eyelets and lace tips (100% zamak) sit flush and dark against the leather, with flat laces (100% recycled polyester) through them. A padded collar, a WVS woven label on the tongue, and the gold Vegan Society trademark stamped into the footbed.

The sole is the other half of it. A white sidewall runs the length of the shoe with a fine line of stitching traced along it, and underneath, an accent layer of gum rubber picks out the bottom edge in warm tan. Hard-wearing, grippy rubber (10% recycled rubber), sitting flat at 2.5cm front and back. Cushioned layered insoles — soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) — mean you can be in them all day.

Our signature Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), breathable and water-resistant, with a low sheen that creases in softly across the toe as you wear them. Grey woven Tencel™ linings inside, very soft against your feet, breathable and moisture-wicking.

Black is the sharp one: black or charcoal tailored trousers with a hem that just breaks on the shoe, a knit, a coat — the white sidewall is the only bright thing in the outfit and it's what stops the whole look going heavy. Tan is warmer and more relaxed — turned-up blue denim, a white tee, a shirt over the top.

Water-resistant through rain, puddles and wet streets, and that gum tread holds on pavements, cobbles and park paths.
