Slip-on Loafers

The slipper. The whole shoe is one piece from toe to heel — no seams across the vamp, no apron, no hardware — so there's nothing to look at but the shape and the material. Cut low at the sides, a soft almond toe, and you step straight into them.

That plainness is why the jacquards work. Frost is a woven blue and cream floral, dense and a little faded-looking, like an old furnishing fabric. Spring is a dark ground with pink and green flowers scattered right across it. Because the shoe has no lines breaking it up, the pattern runs whole across the foot and reads as one piece — which is exactly what you want from a jacquard and almost impossible on a shoe with seams. Black is the third way: Italian vegan nubuck (100% PU), one of the finest vegan suedes you can get, Ecolabel certified, with a nap that shifts as the light moves over it.

Underfoot, a low 10mm heel with a protective heel cap over a durable, grippy TR outsole embossed with the WVS logo. A cushioned layered insole, soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU), so they hold up through a long day. Lined in soft Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU), comfortable against the foot and breathable with it. D width fitting, a slightly wider fit with more volume than standard.

The jacquards want plain around them. Turned-up mid-wash denim and a white shirt is all Frost needs — the shoes carry the whole outfit. Spring does the same against black or dark denim, and it goes further into an evening than a flat has any right to. Black is the one you'll wear without thinking: cropped trousers, a knit, a coat, and it just gets on with it.
