A block-heel sandal with a ruffle across the toe. Dressed up, but built to stand on.
The straps are patent — high shine, cut slim and clean, a thin one over the toe and a second running round the ankle. That ankle strap adjusts on a slim buckle (100% zamak) in a gold-tone finish, so you set it to your foot and it stays put. Everything else about the shoe is quiet, which is what leaves room for the ruffle: a gathered fabric detail knotted across the toe strap, sitting proud of the patent and catching the eye first. In gold, it's metallic against the black and it's the whole shoe. In black, it's tonal — texture against shine, the same idea played down.
Underfoot, a slim TR outsole with a fine ribbed tread for grip, on a 6cm block heel squared off and capped for protection. The block is the point: it's a proper heel height, but you get a stable base and a wide footprint rather than a point, so you can stand in these all evening. Cushioned layered insoles — soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) — do the rest.
Lined in Italian vegan leather (100% PU), smooth against the foot, in a soft cream that sits under the black. C width fitting, so a standard fit, true to size.
Wear the gold with black — a slip dress, a midi, tailored trousers with a hem that breaks just above the strap — and let the toe do the work. The all-black is the one you'll reach for more often: it goes with everything, dresses down with denim, and dresses up as far as you want to take it.
