Point Toe Flats

A sharply pointed d'Orsay flat with a Mary Jane strap — two ideas that don't often appear on the same shoe, and much the better for it. The toe runs long and fine, drawn out to a proper point that lengthens the whole line of the foot. The sides are cut away high on both the inside and the outside arch, so the shoe reads as two curved pieces meeting under a strap, and the foot is left mostly on show. It's an elegant, quite architectural shape for something so flat.

The strap across the instep is padded and rounded, softening what would otherwise be a very lean silhouette, and it fastens with hidden Velcro underneath — nothing on show, no buckle to work around, and enough adjustment to set the fit exactly where you want it. That padding is doing quiet work: it's what stops a strap this narrow from cutting across the top of the foot.

The upper is Italian vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials) in black, smooth and matte, with clean piped edges tracing the topline and the strap. Underneath, a flexible TR outsole with a light tread sits under a low 1cm heel, so the shoe stays close to the ground and moves with the foot. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines it, over a layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU).

They do the thing a good flat should: read as considered rather than casual. Tailored trousers with a break above the ankle so the point shows, a midi dress and bare legs or fine tights, a slip skirt, wide black denim. Black on black is where they're strongest — worn with a dark trouser they read almost as one line from hip to toe.
