Our notes
The Penny Driving Loafer is a classic driver, with all the hallmarks. Moccasin stitching runs the length of the vamp and around the apron. A penny bar sits across the saddle. And underfoot, an Italian rubber pebble outsole carries rows of raised studs — the signature of the style. Built with true moccasin (tubular) construction, a single piece of material wrapped around the foot, they flex naturally from the very first wear and mould to your foot shape — one of the most comfortable shoes you can wear.
The uppers are our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), with a soft grain that creases in and takes on character as they wear. There's no shank — a soft, flexible build that moves with your feet — and underfoot, the rubber pebble outsole carries rows of raised studs in the classic driving shoe style, running up over the heel so the sole flexes with you, behind the wheel and off it.
Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe, soft and breathable against the foot, and the cushioned layered insoles pair a soft memory foam top layer with a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) for easy miles. Virtually flat at 0.7cm, they're the shoe for summer driving, weekends away, and any outfit that jeans or chinos anchor — slip them on and go.

Penny Driving Loafers
This shoes are comfortable, are nice and bouncy for walking, and look good. I’ve had compliments....
They were hard to get, as they either only produce a batch once a year, or they had supply chain issues. Either way, I waited six months. Unfortunately, even though they fit well, I noticed how plasticy they were, over time. Also, the fact that they don’t breathe, I had to throw them away after four months, as they smelled worse than any other shoes that I have owned.
Hi there,
I am really sorry for the problems you had with your pair.
We have in the latest batch updated the material that we use for the uppers and linings. You should find they breathe better, have a nicer wear experience and feel.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. I am here to help, if you need any assistance you can email directly on will.green@wills-vegan-shoes.com

Very nicely made vegan driving shoes. Unfortunately, they are a very narrow fit, especially in the forefoot. Probably modeled after an Italian shoe so not practical for typical U.S. feet which tend to be wider. If they made them in a wider version, I would immediately reorder them.
