Our Notes

A wedge built on a contrast of finishes: matte black vegan nubuck through the body of the shoe, high-shine patent vegan leather across the toe. The two meet in a crossover at the front that opens into a peep, and the patent catches the light exactly where the eye lands. Everything else stays quiet — a clean topline, an open T-cut through the middle of the foot, and a rounded heel counter that keeps the back closed.

The wedge is the architecture. At 5cm it's covered entirely in the same nubuck as the upper, so the sole reads as part of the shoe rather than a block underneath it, and it slopes evenly forward so the foot is lifted rather than tipped. Along the base runs a flexible TR outsole with a ribbed tread — a fine scalloped edge visible in profile, and grip where you need it.

Inside, the pale footbed is trimmed to match the patent at the toe, so the same contrast carries through under the foot. A layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) sits beneath, which is what makes a 5cm wedge as walkable as it is.

They're smart without being formal, and easy to place: cropped or skinny jeans with a plain tee, a midi dress, a slip skirt, wide black trousers when you want the height without the effort of a heel. The mix of matte and shine keeps them interesting up close and simple from a distance.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Upper: Italian vegan nubuck (100% PU) – one of the finest vegan suedes you can get, Ecolabel certified with a soft, luxurious feel
Lining: Unlined – the smooth vegan leather and woven textile of the upper sit directly against your foot, light and breathable for summer
Insole: Cushioned layered insole – a soft memory foam top layer over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) cut to fit the shoe
Outsole: Flexible TR outsole with a light tread for grip

Construction & Features

Shank: Steel shank for stability and support through the arch
Construction: Mounted (cemented) construction – the upper is lasted to shape and the outsole bonded directly underneath. The most widely used construction method in footwear, it gives a clean, flexible build, though the outsole isn't easily resoled
Water Resistance: Not water-resistant – vegan suede will soak through in rain, though it won't mark or spoil when wet. Best kept for dry days, and treat with a waterproofing spray if you want some protection.

Our Italian Bio-Based Vegan Leather

Made with Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials. Produced in Italy using modern water-based, non-solvent processes, combining a viscose backing with a next-generation bio-based polyurethane surface.

Care Guide

Clean: For marks and stubborn stains, use warm soapy water with a cloth or soft brush, working gently over the surface. Towel dry afterwards.Brush: Once fully dry, run a suede brush over the uppers to lift the nap back up and restore the soft, even texture. Brushing in one direction gives the most consistent finish.Drying: Always let your footwear dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, as too much heat can stiffen or damage the suede. Stuff with paper or a shoe tree to help hold the shape while drying, and allow a day or two for the insides to dry fully before wearing again.Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, as this creates an environment where microbes can develop and cause smells. If a smell does develop, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until it clears. In extreme cases you can wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and apply the deodoriser again.Waterproofing (optional): If you'd like some added protection, you can treat the suede with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard sprays work fine on vegan suede. This is optional, and bear in mind vegan suede is naturally an open-textured material that isn't designed to be water-resistant.

Fit and comfort notes:

Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
Use this number to find your size in the chart above.

It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
