The racer is the cleanest of the leather jackets — no lapels, no belts, just a slim band collar, a straight zip, and a close cut that sits neat on the shoulders. Ours is a black Italian vegan leather with a subtle pebble grain, soft to the hand, cut in small batches in Italy. It's the jacket that goes with everything and gets better the more it's worn.

It fastens on a central zip with a press-stud tab at the collar, with zipped cuffs and two zipped side pockets set clean into the front. There's an internal slip pocket inside for a phone, and a smooth viscose lining that lets it slide on and off over a knit. The whole thing is kept deliberately minimal — the grain of the leather and the line of the cut do the work, with no hardware shouting over them.

Wear it the way a racer's meant to be worn: over a tee or a fine knit with slim or straight jeans and boots, black-on-black for something sharp, or broken up with grey and indigo. It's a jacket that reads considered without trying, and it earns its place by going with almost anything you own.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Italy under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Caring for your vegan leather jacket: Spot clean only — don't machine wash, and don't dry clean unless the label specifically allows it, as solvents can break down the surface coating. Wipe marks away with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry immediately rather than letting water sit. Keep the jacket away from direct heat, radiators and prolonged strong sun, which stiffen the surface over time. Hang it on a broad or shaped hanger and give it room; long periods folded or compressed set creases that don't fully drop out. Avoid solvents, alcohol wipes and conditioners intended for animal leather — they're formulated for a different material.
