These are not a pair of loafers just for fashion. Our Goodyear Welt Loafers take a classic slip-on silhouette and build it with the most respected method in shoemaking.
Smart loafers with the classic penny loafer cut detail to the front, built around a beautiful handcrafted classic last shape and cut from our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials) — a rich finish you can polish to keep them looking new.
The Goodyear welt construction is the backbone of the shoe: a traditional method taking up to eight weeks, 75 parts and over 200 operations to make a single pair. It means the hard-wearing rubber outsoles, made with 10% recycled rubber, can be replaced by stitching a new sole to the welt at good cobblers — so these loafers can be resoled again and again rather than replaced.
Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoes — soft, breathable and comfortable against the foot, sockless or not. Underfoot, a memory foam insole sits over a traditional cork bed, poured into the shoe and moulding to your foot over time, so the fit and comfort just get better the longer you wear them.
This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

- TPU shank for stability and support through the arch – metal-free, so they can be worn through metal detectors
- Construction
- Goodyear welt construction – the most respected method in shoemaking. The upper, lining and a leather welt are stitched together, then the sole is stitched to the welt, building the shoe up in many more stages than a standard glued shoe. It can be resoled again and again by any cobbler, so it lasts for years, and the welted, sealed build holds up better in wet weather

- Water-resistant for everyday wear – keeps you dry in rain, puddles, wet streets, and most winter conditions. Just avoid heavy saturation or full submersion.

Fit comfortably and they managed a quick return and replace immediately!
The material tore at the seam almost immediately. I was asked to send them back, which is a huge burden as I live in Canada.

I am really sorry for the hassle we caused by the quality problem with your shoes.
Usually make it easier to put the problem right if there is a quality problem with your purchase and save on waste and co2 we would say to keep the pair you have for seconds, a friend or charity shop. I am sorry this did not happen in this case.

These are a great and versatile loafer, comfortable once you break them in. I just wish they came in more colours, a dark brown or dark brown suede would be absolutely indispensable. The black and tan colours are lovely, but there needs to be something in between.
They fit tight at the arch for the size, but perfect in the length. I don't want to size up because they would slip off the heel. They do actually break in a bit over time, which is nice. They are definitely more comfortable after a few wears. The color seems darker than the photos, which is what I wanted anyway. I would recommend.
