These are not a pair of boots just for fashion. Our Goodyear Welt Tactical Boots are built to last years — sturdy, dependable and made to take whatever the day throws at them. The Goodyear Welt construction forms the backbone of the boot: a traditional method that can take up to eight weeks, using 75 parts and over 200 operations. It’s widely regarded as the gold standard for durability and longevity.
The uppers are cut from our Italian bio-based vegan leather, giving a rich finish you can polish to restore shine. As you wear them, the uppers soften and mould naturally to your foot, the cork-filled midlayer begins shaping to your stride, and the boots become more comfortable the longer they’re worn. Deep-tread rubber outsoles (with recycled content) provide grip and ground feel — and can be completely replaced at good cobblers.
Designed around a classic 9-eye tactical profile, these lace up close to the leg for a secure feel, with long recycled-polyester laces and three sets of gunmetal hooks at the top. Inside, tan vegan suede linings keep the interior smooth, breathable and soft against the foot. Built in Portugal, refined for everyday life, and ready for years of use.

Measure heel-to-toe length in cm and choose your corresponding size. If between sizes or wearing thick socks, choose the larger size. Size down only for very narrow feet.

Care Guide
Clean uppers and outsoles with warm soapy water and a cloth or brush. Dry thoroughly with a towel.
Polish can be used to restore shine and colour — any synthetic polish works well. Burnished styles can be freshened at home or by a cobbler.
You can treat the uppers with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use.
Do not allow the boots to stay damp between wears. Dry fully to avoid odour or microbe growth.
If odour develops, dry thoroughly and apply a footwear deodoriser. In severe cases, clean inside gently with soapy water and fully dry before wearing.
A shoe tree is recommended to help maintain shape, especially with Goodyear Welt boots.
The outsoles can be fully replaced at good cobblers thanks to the Goodyear Welt construction.
Do not machine wash.

Goodyear Welt Tactical Boots
Very high quality; good fit, well made, sturdy and a little flexible, no nonsense and highly functional design. Also the shipping was fast considering it's international and was around the winter holidays. I had to change sizes and they made the process so easy.
I've always loved boots for their durability and versatility with outfits, but ones like docs always felt too bulky and heavy for me. These are a very sleek pair which are clearly very durable after a good few wears but can also be paired with a dress. I was worried about breaking them in, but I just wore them with plasters on the back of my heels the first two or three wears and they were fine and easy to break in. I had a pair of brogues from Wills that I wore for years and had re-soled twice and gave to a friend when I finally got sick of them, and these boots are sturdier and I imagine will last me even longer. They are more expensive than I usually spend on shoes (I wear runners most of the time) but I'd definitely buy them again and they're similar price to other brands' boots I was looking at. I'm exactly a size 5 (4.5 usually too small, 5.5 usually too big) and these fit true to size, but I have narrow feet, so I'm wearing them with thicker socks. I'm properly in love with them <3
Goodyear Welt Tactical Boots
I am really happy with these boots, I think they look good with a lot of outfits because of their simple and elegant design. They fit true to size and I had no issue with the width, which is sometimes a problem for me. I've worn them several times and so far no cracking or creasing in the leather as you sometimes see. Seems to be the quality I was made to expect from this brand. This is the second item I have bought from Will's, both have lived up to my expectations. My only complaint with buying from this brand is that items and sizes sell out often and for so long, it's extremely frustrating.
