Flatform Laceups

A plain derby on a flatform. No broguing, no punchwork — just patent, a clean line, and a sole with some presence to it.

The upper is cut back to almost nothing: an open lacing with four eyelets, a plain rounded toe, a seam down the heel and a scoop at the collar. Which puts everything on the finish. High-shine patent in a warm nude, catching the light right across the vamp and toe, with laces in the same shade and metal lace tips (100% zamak). Our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), breathable and water-resistant.

Then the sole, which is the whole point of the shoe. A lightweight white TR flatform with a tan stripe running round the sidewall and a lugged tread cut underneath — 3cm at the back, 1.5cm at the front, so you get real lift and a level, stable stance you can walk in properly. Against the nude patent the white reads sharp and a bit sporty, and the tan stripe ties the two together. A cushioned layered insole underneath — soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) — keeps them wearable all day. Lined in soft Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU), comfortable against the foot and breathable with it.

Nude patent goes with almost everything and takes the formality out of tailoring. Cream or stone wide legs, a white shirt, and the shoe lifts the whole thing off the ground. Just as good with denim, or under a dress with bare legs in summer.
