Flatform Brogues

A brogue on a flatform. All the traditional detail up top, lifted onto a sole that has nothing traditional about it at all.

The upper is the full brogue: a wingtip sweeping back from the toe in a W, punched all the way along its edge, with a medallion perforated across the toe cap and more broguing tracing the seams at the sides. Cut in high-shine patent, which throws all that punchwork into relief — the pattern reads as light and shadow rather than just texture. The eyelets are hidden behind the leather for a clean finish, with metal lace tips (100% zamak) on extra-strong laces (100% recycled polyester), so there's no hardware interrupting the line.

Then the sole. A chunky black TR flatform with a contrast stripe running round the sidewall and a lugged tread cut into the bottom — 3cm at the back, 1.5cm at the front, so you get real lift without much drop through the foot. It's a level, stable stance you can walk in properly, and a cushioned layered insole underneath it — soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) — keeps them wearable all day. Lined in soft Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU), comfortable against the foot and breathable with it. D width fitting, a slightly wider fit with more volume than standard.

This is the shoe that stops an outfit being expected. A black skirt, sheer tights, a blazer — the brogue makes it, and the flatform is why. It works the same way over cropped wide-leg trousers, or under a slip dress with a knit over the top. Water-resistant through rain, puddles and wet streets.
