Our Notes

A closed-toe clog on a cork footbed. Slip your foot in, set the buckle, and that's it.

The upper wraps over the toe and back around the sides in one clean piece, cut open at the heel so it slides on and off. A single side-mounted adjustable metal buckle (100% zamak) in a brushed silver finish pulls the strap across the instep to hold the fit — you set it once and forget it. In black vegan suede (100% PU) the whole thing goes soft and matte, the silver buckle the only bright note against it. In chestnut, our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), warmer and with a low sheen over the toe.

Underfoot is where the work is. A deep Portuguese cork footbed with a raised arch and a moulded heel cup, layered with soft vegan suede (100% PU) on top. The cork moulds to the shape of your foot as you wear it in, absorbs shock as you walk, and stays cool. Under that, a rubber tread layer for grip — durable enough for pavements, gravel, decking, tiled floors, and the walk between all of them. A 3cm heel and 1.5cm toe for a gentle lift.

Lined in soft Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) so you can wear them all day without socks and not think about it. And you can take them to the beach — salt water won't mark or stain them, and they're easy to care for.

Black takes the sharper end: wide-leg trousers in olive or black, a white shirt, a bag over the shoulder. Chestnut goes warmer and easier — tan or camel wide legs, a knit, or turned-up denim in early autumn. Both work with socks when it cools down and without when it doesn't.

Outsole: Portuguese cork midsole with a rubber tread layer underneath — the cork moulds to the shape of your foot over time while staying light, with the rubber giving durable grip where it meets the ground

Construction & Features

Shank: Steel shank for stability and support through the arch
Hardware: Side-mounted adjustable metal buckle (100% zamak — a durable zinc alloy) in a brushed silver finish, so you can set the strap across the instep to the width of your foot
Construction: Mounted (cemented) construction – the upper is lasted to shape and the outsole bonded directly underneath. The most widely used construction method in footwear, it gives a clean, flexible build, though the outsole isn't easily resoled
Water Resistance: Water-resistant for everyday wear – keeps you dry in rain, puddles, wet streets, and most winter conditions. Just avoid heavy saturation or full submersion.

Our Italian Bio-Based Vegan Leather

Made with Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials. Produced in Italy using modern water-based, non-solvent processes, combining a viscose backing with a next-generation bio-based polyurethane surface.

Care Guide

Vegan Suede Clean: For marks and stubborn stains, use warm soapy water with a cloth or soft brush, working gently over the surface. Towel dry afterwards. Brush: Once fully dry, run a suede brush over the uppers to lift the nap back up and restore the soft, even texture. Brushing in one direction gives the most consistent finish. Drying: Always let your footwear dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, as too much heat can stiffen or damage the suede. Stuff with paper or a shoe tree to help hold the shape while drying, and allow a day or two for the insides to dry fully before wearing again. Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, as this creates an environment where microbes can develop and cause smells. If a smell does develop, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until it clears. In extreme cases you can wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and apply the deodoriser again. Waterproofing (optional): If you'd like some added protection, you can treat the suede with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard sprays work fine on vegan suede. This is optional, and bear in mind vegan suede is naturally an open-textured material that isn't designed to be water-resistant. Vegan Leather Clean: Wipe the uppers and outsoles with warm soapy water and a cloth or soft brush, then towel dry thoroughly. Polish: A synthetic polish can be used to bring back shine and refresh the colour — any synthetic product should work fine, applied as described in its instructions. If your footwear has a burnished effect on the toes and sides (we apply a darker polish to some of our brown vegan leather uppers for effect), this is best reapplied by a cobbler, or at home using a darker shade of polish worked around the toes and sides. Drying: You can dry your footwear on top of or near a radiator or other heat source. Depending on the heat, it can take a few days to dry out the insides fully. Never put your footwear in the washing machine. Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, especially inside boots, as this can damage the water resistance and let microbes develop, causing a smell. If this happens, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until the smell stops. In extreme cases, wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and reapply the deodoriser. Waterproofing (optional): You can treat the uppers with a waterproofing spray to improve durability, stain resistance and water resistance. We recommend doing this every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard waterproofing sprays work fine on our vegan leather.
