City Sandals

A block-heel sandal stripped back to two straps and nothing else. One wide band across the toes, one fine strap around the ankle, and a good deal of bare foot in between — which is what gives the shape its lift and makes something this simple look considered rather than plain. The proportion is the trick: a broad, generous toe strap against a delicate ankle strap, so the two aren't competing.

The heel is a covered block at 6.5cm, wrapped in the same vegan leather as the uppers so it reads as one piece from the front, with a stacked edge at the base breaking up the height. It's a proper heel that behaves like a sensible one — square, set squarely under you, and stable to walk in. There's a protective cap on it too, so the point of most wear is the part you can replace rather than the part that ends the shoe.

The uppers are Italian vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), smooth and lightly burnished, in tan or a paler sand. Tan is the warmer, richer one and looks best against cream, white and denim; sand is the softer, quieter option and sits easily with pale summer colours. The buckle at the ankle is gold-tone zamak, a durable zinc alloy, adjustable through the strap holes and small enough to stay a detail rather than a feature. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the straps and footbed, over a layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU), with a flexible TR outsole and a light tread beneath.

They're the summer heel you can actually wear all evening — with a linen dress, a midi, wide cropped trousers, a slip skirt, or straight jeans when you want the outfit lifted without much effort. Elegant, easy, and useful for far more occasions than a heel this pretty has any right to be.
