A laptop case earns its place by being the one thing between your device and everything else in the bag. This one is padded through the panels and lined in soft vegan suede, so your device sits against a surface that protects the screen and the finish, and it's cut close enough that nothing shifts around inside while you're carrying it. It takes a 13 inch laptop or a tablet, and it works as easily carried on its own as it does dropped into a briefcase or a backpack.
A metal zip runs across the top and turns down both sides, so the case opens along three edges and lays back rather than parting at a slot, and the device goes in and comes out flat instead of being angled through a gap. Two pulls run on it, so you can open from either end or work them to the middle and lift the lid straight up. The teeth are a heavy gauge against a cream tape, sitting proud of the panel as a line across the front rather than hidden in a seam.

- Cut and closed by hand, with the panels turned and stitched rather than bonded, so the edges are finished on the inside and there's no raw cut showing. The layers are skived down where they meet the folds, which keeps it slim when it's closed. Edge stitching runs through the outer panels, with bar-tacks at the points that take the wear
- Water Resistance
- Water-resistant. The vegan leather surface sheds rain rather than soaking it up, so a shower on the way to the station wipes off with a cloth. The stitching and the zips aren't sealed, and the flap isn't a closed seal, so it isn't waterproof and shouldn't be left out in sustained rain or set down on wet ground

Such a lovely case for my MacBook (13.6” fits perfectly!). Really well made and sturdy with a cosy little vegan suede interior for it. Really happy with my purchase and great customer service that advised me too :)
Triggers people to point out leather isn't vegan and therefore I'm an inconsistent hypocrite, after which I can tell them with a big smirk that this leather is indeed vegan, Karen.
The product is a nice basic case. Smooth and great materials, but not at all what I was looking for. It turns out it misses some side pockets to be truly handy, and a handle.
