11 Inch Satchel

The 11 Inch Satchel takes classic satchel styling at a size that carries well all day: big enough for a tablet, a notebook and a paperback, small enough to stay out of your way while you're wearing it. It's the portable one, and that's what makes it the everyday choice. The long strap wears it across the body at the hip, and it's cut in a warm tan vegan leather with a lightly pulled-up surface, so the colour shifts a little across the panels where the light catches them.
Two roller buckles hold the front straps down over the flap. The roller turns as you feed the strap through, so the tongue drops into its hole without forcing it and the vegan leather wears along its length rather than creasing at one point. A slim slip pocket sits on the front panel under the flap for the things you want without opening the bag.
Inside, it's lined in vegan suede, soft to the hand with a light grain. The gusset is set in as a separate piece, which gives it depth and lets it hold its shape rather than collapsing flat when it's empty.
Presented in a Will's Vegan Shoes cotton drawstring dust bag.

- Lining
- Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU), soft to the hand with a light grain
- Hardware
- Two solid roller buckles cast in zamak, a zinc alloy, hold the front straps, with rivets set through the strap tabs where the vegan leather takes the pull. The rollers turn as you feed each strap through, so the tongue drops into the hole without forcing it, and the vegan leather wears evenly rather than creasing at one point. Underneath the flap sit two concealed magnets, and that's what you'll use most of the time. Set the buckles once at the holes that suit you and leave them there, then just lift the flap and the magnets release with a light pull. Press it back down and they catch on their own. The buckles are there when you want the bag properly closed, and the magnets handle everything in between. The shoulder strap adjusts with a third buckle of the same casting, punched along its length so you can wear it long across the body or shortened to sit at the hip
- Construction
- Cut and closed by hand, with the panels turned and stitched rather than bonded, so the seams carry the load and the edges are finished on the inside. The gusset is set in as a separate piece, which is what gives the bag its depth and lets it stand up on its own rather than collapsing flat when it's empty. Straps and buckle tabs are set on their own reinforced patches, so the pull spreads into the panel instead of into a single line of stitching
- Water Resistance
- Water-resistant. The vegan leather surface sheds rain rather than soaking it up, so a shower on the way to the station wipes off with a cloth. The stitching and the zips aren't sealed, and the flap isn't a closed seal, so it isn't waterproof and shouldn't be left out in sustained rain or set down on wet ground
- Closure
- Adjustable buckled strap with concealed magnetic fastening. Set the buckle once at the holes that suit you and leave it there, then lift the flap and the magnet releases with a light pull. Press it back down and it will seal shut on its own.

Sad it is so small. But it is my bas, should have read better. Wouldn't you do a real-bag-size version ?
Love my new purse 👜 🤎
It's a tad small to cram everything in, but I knew that before I bought it and I didn't want to go for the larger size. Having said that, I manage to carry everything I need and I find it a very useful bag which goes anywhere.
Perfect bag for everyday use. I use it all the time for shopping, day trips and work. I'm hopeful it will last so I can use it for many years to come.
