Recycled Denim Jacket

The denim jacket is the one layer that never goes out — it sits over everything, it earns its keep for years, and it only looks better the more it's worn. Ours is the classic trucker cut in a heavyweight dark indigo, made in small batches in Italy by a factory that does nothing but denim, then stone-washed to that worn-in look from the first day you put it on.

The denim itself is the part we're proudest of. It's made from recycled production waste — the yarn discarded at the start and end of the dyeing line during normal denim manufacturing — which saves 65% of the water the standard method uses and is certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). It's dyed and finished in a northern Italian mill using natural, biodegradable indigo; the mill has held Detox Mill status since 2016 under the Greenpeace Detox protocol. Even the stone-wash uses a sustainable alternative to pumice, which avoids the waste sludge and the extra water that traditional pumice demands.

It's cut to sit on the hips with a regular fit, sized so it layers comfortably over a hoodie or knitwear. Two small button pockets on the chest, two larger pockets inside for your daily carry, button-up straps at the hem to take the fit in, and buttoned cuffs you can wear open or closed. The collar sits up, down or somewhere between. It's finished in classic golden stitching with brass buttons and a black recycled felt back patch. The denim is rigid and heavier weight, so it starts firm and softens as you go, fading into lighter blues that end up particular to you.

Wear it the way denim's always been worn — over a tee in spring, under a coat when it turns, throw it on with the jeans for double denim or break it up with cords and a knit. It's the layer you stop thinking about because it goes with everything, and it's built to still be going years from now.
