Our popular Chukka Boots are now available in a Goodyear Welt construction, which means the outsoles can be replaced at a cobbler when they eventually wear down.

A Chukka is a timeless style known for its simplicity and versatility, with an ankle-high design, minimal lacing and a sleek silhouette. That blend of durability, comfort and style lets them move across settings. Wear them with jeans and a tee for something casual, dark denim and a button-down for smart casual, or with a blazer or a slim-fit suit when you need to dress up.

The uppers are cut from Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials, fully lined with two types of tan vegan suede for comfort, air circulation and breathability. Underfoot, deep squishy insoles with recycled content sit on solid rubber outsoles, with strong recycled polyester laces above. The heel sits at 3.5cm and the front at 2cm.

Built to last years, they keep going thanks to those replaceable Goodyear Welt outsoles. A pair can take up to eight weeks to make, using up to 75 parts and over 200 different operations, with origins going back over three hundred years. The method is generally regarded throughout the boot-making industry as the best way to make superior boots, and as you wear them the fit and comfort improve as they mould to the shape of your foot.

Materials

Upper: Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials)
Insole: Memory foam insole over a traditional cork bed – poured into the shoe and moulded to your foot over time, so they get more comfortable the more you wear them
Outsole: Hard-wearing rubber outsole made with 10% recycled rubber – a standard profile that most cobblers can resole easily when it eventually wears
Laces: Long, extra-strong laces (100% recycled polyester), with metal lace tips (100% zamak — a durable zinc alloy)

Construction & Features

Lining: Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) – soft and comfortable against the foot, with a breathable suede texture that helps keep feet fresh
Shank: TPU shank for stability and support through the arch – metal-free, so they can be worn through metal detectors
Hardware: Hidden metal eyelets that sit behind the vegan leather for a clean finish, with metal lace tips — both 100% zamak (a durable zinc alloy)
Construction: Goodyear welt construction – the most respected method in shoemaking. The upper, lining and a leather welt are stitched together, then the sole is stitched to the welt, building the shoe up in many more stages than a standard glued shoe. It can be resoled again and again by any cobbler, so it lasts for years, and the welted, sealed build holds up better in wet weather
Water Resistance: Water-resistant for everyday wear – keeps you dry in rain, puddles, wet streets, and most winter conditions. Just avoid heavy saturation or full submersion.

Made with Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials. Produced in Italy using modern water-based, non-solvent processes, combining a viscose backing with a next-generation bio-based polyurethane surface.

Fit and comfort notes:

Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

How to take your foot length measurement

Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
Use this number to find your size in the chart above.

It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
