These are not a pair of boots just for fashion.
Built to last years, they will keep carrying on and on with their replaceable Goodyear welt deep-tread rubber outsoles, made with 10% recycled rubber. A pair of Goodyear welted boots can take up to eight weeks to make, using up to 75 boot parts and over 200 different operations. The origins of the method go back over three hundred years, and it's generally regarded throughout the worldwide boot-making industry as the best way to make superior boots. When the soles eventually wear, a cobbler stitches a fresh pair to the welt, extending the boots' life — and as you wear them, their fit and comfort only improve as the components mould to the shape of your foot.
The uppers are cut from water-resistant Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials) — you can polish them to keep them looking new and bring out a shine. The 14-eye lacing runs strong recycled polyester laces with metal lace tips, and a top-to-bottom zip on the inside plus a large WVS embroidered recycled polyester pull tab mean you don't need to unlace them to get in and out. There's a TPU shank through the arch for stability — metal-free, so they can be worn through metal detectors.
Inside, soft tan vegan suede lines the boots for comfort, air circulation and breathability, over a deep Portuguese cork footbed layered with vegan suede — moulding to your foot and getting more comfortable with every wear.
This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

- TPU shank for stability and support through the arch – metal-free, so they can be worn through metal detectors
- Hardware
- Metal eyelets and lace tips, both 100% zamak (a durable zinc alloy). A full top-to-bottom zip on the inside of each boot means they slip on and off easily
- Construction
- Goodyear welt construction – the most respected method in shoemaking. The upper, lining and a leather welt are stitched together, then the sole is stitched to the welt, building the shoe up in many more stages than a standard glued shoe. It can be resoled again and again by any cobbler, so it lasts for years, and the welted, sealed build holds up better in wet weather

This is my 4th pair of shoes from Will's, and all have been top quality! These boots may be my favorite, though! They are comfy, and I wear them (all the time) with dresses, skirts, and pants. I have slender calves, and they fit very well, but I can see where they may not fit everyone's legs! The length is a little longer than other size 7s, which is good for wearing thicker socks. But the best part is that no animals died for my shoes! Thank you, Will's!!
These are stylish, comfortable and I feel great wearing them. The length is great: tall enough to avoid 'calf gap' when wearing below-the-knee skirts. They're a good quality plant leather and I think, they look funky.
I loved the look of these shoes and the sole was very comfortable. However, I had to loosen fully to fit them around my calves and even then they were too tight. I was hoping these could go over a pair of tight jeans but they didn’t fit even on my bare legs. I’m short with a skinny build but I do have fairly muscular calves and these just happen to hit the widest part at the top. I think I’ll have better luck with the 10 Eye but they are out of stock in my size :( returned these but can’t wait to try another style because these seem well made and comfy!
Useful in rainy days, a little hard on the heel
My boots arrived amazingly quickly! They are lovely but my usual size (I have the wills vegan hiking boots) is a a bit tight, probably because the toe of this boot is quite narrow. I am trying to decide whether to exchange for the next size up.
