A derby pared right back. Two eyelets, a rounded toe, and a single curved seam sweeping from the lacing down toward the heel — that's the whole shoe. The lacing sits almost flush thanks to hidden eyelets set behind the leather, so nothing interrupts the surface, and the facings are cut small and neat rather than the broad flaps a traditional derby carries. The result is something much lighter and more feminine than the word "derby" usually suggests.
The upper is Italian vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials) in black, smooth and softly polished, and the fine round laces are the one flourish: slim, discreet, and finished with gold metal aglets in zamak, a durable zinc alloy. Against all that black, those little gold tips are the only warmth on the shoe, and they catch the light as you walk.
Underneath, a slim TR outsole keeps the line low and close, with a compressed Tunit heel — a hard-wearing rubber-resin compound — in a classic stacked finish, dark and quietly layered at the back. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe with an onSteam® breathable microfibre footbed, over a layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU).
They're a proper day-to-evening shoe: a black dress with sheer tights, tailored trousers, a midi and a trench, straight or cropped denim with a fine knit. Elegant, understated, and easy to wear anywhere you want to look considered.
