Our Notes

The Brogue Bootie takes two ideas that rarely share a shoe — the tailored detail of a brogue and the easy pull-on of a Chelsea — and lets them play off each other. From the side it's a clean, low ankle boot with elasticated gussets and a back pull tab, so it slips on without fuss. Look down at the toe and there's the surprise: a full brogue medallion and wingtip punching, the perforations tracing the shape of the toe and giving a plain black boot real character and craft.

They're cut in our signature Italian vegan nubuck — a finely brushed vegan suede with a soft, dry hand feel and a nap that shifts shade as it catches the light. In a deep black it reads smart and versatile; in the dark brown it warms up and leans more into that heritage, country-brogue feeling. Underneath, a slim stacked-look 3cm heel keeps them grounded and walkable, on a smart outsole with a grippy tread that's happy on a pavement.

This is a boot that does a lot of quiet work in a winter wardrobe. The brogue detailing means they bring the polish of a proper shoe with the ease of a boot — worn under cropped or straight-leg jeans with the punched toe on show, tucked beneath tailored trousers for something sharper, or with opaque tights and a midi skirt or dress when you want the outfit to feel considered rather than heavy. The brown especially loves cords, camel and forest tones; the black goes with everything and quietly lifts it.

Inside, a soft Portuguese vegan suede lining sits comfortably against the foot, over a cushioned layered insole with a memory-foam top layer for comfort through the day.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Upper: Italian vegan nubuck (100% PU) – one of the finest vegan suedes you can get, Ecolabel certified with a soft, luxurious feel
Lining: Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) – soft and comfortable against the foot, with a breathable suede texture that helps keep feet fresh
Insole: Cushioned layered insole – a soft memory foam top layer over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) cut to fit the shoe
Outsole: Flexible TR outsole with a light tread for grip

Construction & Features

Shank: Steel shank for stability and support through the arch
Construction: Mounted (cemented) construction – the upper is lasted to shape and the outsole bonded directly underneath. The most widely used construction method in footwear, it gives a clean, flexible build, though the outsole isn't easily resoled
Water Resistance: Not water-resistant – vegan suede will soak through in rain, though it won't mark or spoil when wet. Best kept for dry days, and treat with a waterproofing spray if you want some protection.

Care Guide

Clean: For marks and stubborn stains, use warm soapy water with a cloth or soft brush, working gently over the surface. Towel dry afterwards.Brush: Once fully dry, run a suede brush over the uppers to lift the nap back up and restore the soft, even texture. Brushing in one direction gives the most consistent finish.Drying: Always let your footwear dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, as too much heat can stiffen or damage the suede. Stuff with paper or a shoe tree to help hold the shape while drying, and allow a day or two for the insides to dry fully before wearing again.Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, as this creates an environment where microbes can develop and cause smells. If a smell does develop, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until it clears. In extreme cases you can wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and apply the deodoriser again.Waterproofing (optional): If you'd like some added protection, you can treat the suede with a waterproofing spray every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard sprays work fine on vegan suede. This is optional, and bear in mind vegan suede is naturally an open-textured material that isn't designed to be water-resistant.

Fit and comfort notes:

Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
Use this number to find your size in the chart above.

It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
