Our notes
Our WVSport Waterproof Hiking Boots are the boots our whole performance range grew from — made in Italy to the highest standards, designed for traction, stability, comfort and durability in the most demanding terrains.
They're designed and produced in the foothills of the Dolomites, Italy, using CAD design technology that simulates the different phases of the walking experience. Development samples are lab tested for days for abrasion resistance, durability and water resistance — new models can take months, sometimes years, to develop. It shows in how they walk.
The Vibram® injected rubber outsoles carry deep multi-directional lugs that grip on mud, rock and loose ground, with a defined heel brake for control on descents — a 5cm heel and 3cm toe height. The sole is direct-injected, moulded and fused straight onto the upper in one process, so the two won't part easily even after years of hard miles.
The uppers are Lyliane® 3DMX vegan nubuck by Lorenzi, Italy, with Cordura® fabric panels (100% PU / 100% nylon) — abrasion and scuff-resistant, so you can take these off-road and not worry about what happens on the way. They're fully waterproof to the lace line, with a Sympatex® membrane, waterproof seams and a sealed tongue keeping the water out while staying breathable — lab tested, built for bogs, streams, wet grass and full days of rain, and completely PFC and PFA free throughout, with none of the forever chemicals conventional waterproofing relies on.
You can wear these for long distances in comfort. Padding on the tongue and around the collar supports your feet and ankles, removable contoured PU sports insoles follow the shape of your foot, and inside, a breathable sports mesh lining (100% polyester) keeps air moving. Metal D-rings run through the midfoot with two sets of speed hooks at the top and webbing lace loops low down — set the tension zone by zone, lace up fast, and pull them on and off easily with the finger tab.

I wanted to replace my leather walking boots since they became unusable after many years and since becoming vegan & cruelty free a long time ago, I needed to replace with a kind pair this time around. I tried another brand first (the goretek kind) and they were not at all waterproof so I found these and I am so happy with them. They are 100% waterproof and comfortable and after swapping the shoe liner with my own special kind for flat feet I am good to go!
I would class myself as an avid walker, daily long walks on all terrain and weather, often for over an hour at a time so if they were going to fail it would have happened by now I'm sure. I highly recommend.
I'm so happy with these boots! There was no breaking in required, they fit like a glove. I thought I was on to something good with my scarpa walking boots which needed replacing after 5 ish years of good wear. A friend recommended these as hers were holding up amazingly 4 years in. I can safely say these are even better! They also look good which I appreciate if I'm on a weekend of walks and pubs trips or a city break involving walking too - versatile! I'm now looking at what else is on offer as these are so good!
Am Anfang hat der eine Schuh hier und da etwas gedrückt, aber nach kurzer Zeit war das weg und ich bin absolut begeistert. Wasserdicht, bequem und auch rutschfest. Perfekt. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
I have come back to make another post as I am so impressed with the quality. I have had my boots 3 years now and they are still holding up well after many muddy walks.I regularly do 10 mile walks and once a year do a 26 mile walk. They are the best boots for longevity that I have ever purchased. I would also like to say they were comfortable from day 1. When they finally wear out will be back for another pair.
This is the second pair I've bought for my husband and I. The first pair lasted us 4 years of hiking in Scottish Highlands, to Welsh landscapes and over a year in Iceland on the rocky volcanic landscapes, and even some rivers. They still had life left in them, but we opted to donate them to reduce our luggage space and weight. Excellent quality and very comfortable.
