A pair of brogues are a key element for any wardrobe, so it was important we got ours right.
We’ve gone for a full wingtip brogue that has its uppers cut with sweeping lines down the side of a classic Oxford silhouette.
A lot of attention needs to go into making “good” brogue shoes.
The Italian vegan leather uppers (made with 69% bio-based content) have been skived at the edges where the pieces have been stitched together, helping them stay flush to the lines of the shoe allowing the pattern to flow smoothly. The edges have been finely cut with a saw tooth edge.
The fleur-de-lis pattern on the toes has been properly made with holes that go right through the uppers to create a striking appearance. The toes have been burnished with dark polish to add character. The outsoles have stitching details and wood effect 2.5cm heels in a colour to compliment the uppers.
Throughout the rest of our Oxford Brogues, you’ll find the same things you can expect from all WVS footwear. The outsoles are just flexible enough (not stiff, and not too flexible), are durable, grippy and have been finished with a WVS emboss.
Inside you will find two types of vegan suede, making them comfy to wear and improving breathability. The insoles have stitching details and deep squishy insoles made from recycled materials.

Used to shop at Shoe Emporium, wanted quality without cruelty. They didn't need wearing in, perfect from the go.
These shoes are comfortable and good to wear all day long. They do look like faux leather (just for those who wish to have shoes that look like real leather). They are my second pair of Will‘s shoes and as recommended, I ordered 39, as the promise was that if one pair fits, all Will‘s shoes in this size would fit. Well, these are a bit on the large side for me, but when it gets colder, I can wear warm socks or put an additional cotton sole inside.

I am in love with these shoes! I bought them in 2019 (5,5 years ago) and periodically they were my shoes for daily life. They adapted to my shape of feet perfectly and are even kinda waterproof (beside of not being very high of course). Also, if cleaned they still looked like they wood be new which I never had for any other shoes that are that old and that I wear that often. I even once had to change the soles by a shoemaker since they were gnawed pets. That is also some years ago, worked perfectly and is also a good option in case the soles get used up over time ;)
I can more than recommend these shoes!
