A double monk with a bit of swagger. The upper is croc-embossed vegan leather — a deep, irregular scale pattern pressed into the surface, matte where the light misses it and glossy where it catches — and set against that, the toe cap is smooth patent, high-shine and perfectly plain. That switch from texture to mirror across the front of the shoe is the first thing you notice, and it's what lifts the whole thing out of the ordinary.
Then the buckles. Two of them, solid metal in an engraved western style with a silver-tone finish, scrolled and pointed and considerably more ornate than a monk strap usually gets. They sit across the instep on croc-embossed straps and adjust through the strap holes, so the fit sets where you want it. Nothing subtle about them, and that's rather the point — they turn a smart shoe into something with attitude.
The upper is Italian vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials). Underneath, a slim TR outsole keeps the shape low and sharp, with a compressed Tunit heel — a hard-wearing rubber-resin compound — at 1.8cm in a classic stacked finish. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe, over a layered insole with a soft memory-foam top on a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU).
Wear them where you want the shoes noticed: black tailoring cropped at the ankle, a slip skirt and a leather jacket, straight or wide denim with a fine knit, a midi dress with the buckles glinting under the hem. All black, all texture, and a bit of hardware to finish.
